Cedar Point is “America’s Roller Cost”. I had the opportunity to work there a few weeks ago for ride pride. Ride Pride is a program that Cedar Point offers to help student organizations raise money. They pay us money for working. Noodle and I worked the Wicked Twister. We had a good time except id was freezing and cold the whole weekend. We worked a 14 hour day and a 12 hour day back to back. I was so tired that I could barley walk without tripping. We got to see the park and go in all the employee only places including the cafeteria. We ate there because the food was better and cheaper. The guys we worked with were great and did not seamed to mind our disabilities. We worked the entrance of the ride and checked children high. I made so many parents mad and a few kids cried when I told them they were to short.
Honestly why do people get so mad when the rules your enforcing are for their safety. Seriously the high requirement is for their kids safety not because I don’t like your kids. The other two jobs I had to do while working the entrance was help people with disabilities and ask larger guest to please try the test seat because the seat belt is one of the shortest in the park. AKA you’re too fat. I hated this part, I ask people every day to over look the physical and look at me not my CP. Here I was looking at people for the body type all day by the end of the day I hated it.
Standing around for hours and hours surround by the letters CP gave me an interesting perspective but that’s another post.
