Negative Feelings

I was recently asked to speak about what it was like to grow up with a disability and the problems it caused. Growing up sucks for everyone not matter what. I felt for the most part angry that people were so superficial that they could not see pasted the CP to me the person. For all the problems and jerks in the world I still had a good time and got to do some of the things everyone else does.

I hate when people ask me about all the negative stuff. Many of the parents I talk to are going back to school and have or know a child with a disability. Why should I give the more negative images to dwell on. There heads are already full.

Life sucks and I hated the days when I could not keep up on the playground or did when I not get invited to a birthday party. Those days will happen and if what many people dread, I still do. But you have to have faith that there will be the good days too.

Sometimes all it takes is one friend. I have Katlin and she is the best friend anyone could ask for.
